General Electric Company (GE), incorporated on April 15, 1892, is a global digital industrial company. The Company’s products and services range from aircraft engines, power generation and oil and gas production equipment to medical imaging, financing and industrial products. The Company’s segments include Power, Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas, Energy Management, Aviation, Healthcare, Transportation, Appliances & Lighting, and Capital.

THE CHALLENGE

General Electric (GE) wanted a center to bring together their customer’s, stakeholders, and outside organizations to showcase the wide range of alternative fuel vehicles available. They wanted to reach fleet managers both on a corporate and individual level. They wanted their new educational center to be dynamic to highlight available and upcoming alternative fuel vehicle technologies.

General Electric Built a High Tech Interactive Center

THE PROBLEM

We knew what technology they needed to create a dynamic experience. The technology needed to be presented in a way that would maximize the engagement of the space. We constructed a video wall  but the stand-alone requirement of the video wall was challenging. With no ceiling to floor support, the system had to be secured with a “minimal forward footprint.”

THE SOLUTION

The (9) 46” 32 Point Touch Display were configured to a 3×3 video wall. Premiere Mounts collaborated with us to design a custom mount that allowed the video wall to stand alone in the middle of the floor rather than on a structural wall.

The best part of this center is it can grow and change as the company continues to innovate alternative fuel vehicles. Deb Frodl, Chief Strategy Officer for GE Capital Fleet Services, describes how easy it will be to update the touch screens with new content.

This was a major collaboration effort between many reputable firms that harnessed the potential of this project. This educational center for GE will be an innovative hub for years to come. The video wall and other touch screens will be able to mirror GE’s cutting edge alternative fuel vehicles as they are developed.
