In 1881, company founder John F. Shea established a small plumbing business. From those modest beginnings, his sons and their sons after them, built J.F. Shea Co. into the largest privately held builder in the nation. The company legacy of unbroken family management continues today. Since 1968, Shea Homes, an independent member of the Shea Family Of Companies, has built some of the finest new homes and master-planned communities for more than 94,000 families across America. The company is a leading new home builder. Among new home builders, Shea Homes has the distinction of being the largest privately held company, building new home communities in eight states, including California, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina and Washington.

THE CHALLENGE

Shea Trilogy® Active Lifestyle Communities are packed with reasons why over 1,500 people have made the move to Trilogy in the last year alone. From the stunning Clubs and enriching amenities, to the energy efficient SheaXero™ and SheaSolar™ homes to the vibrant people who live in each one of the locations.

Shea envisioned a collaborative experience that would serve two purposes. First, it needed to be simple and intuitive so potential residents could easily navigate the experience on their own. Secondly, Shea wanted to use the interactive solution as a hands-on step in the selling process where a representative could review important sales materials with prospective buyers.

It was also vital that the solution to have an appealing interface keeping in line with the community’s stunning facilities and amenities. The application needed to match the high-end look and feel of the Shea brand and experience; comparable to a custom designed software solution and interface.

 THE SOLUTION

Horizon’s latest interactive application, Fuse, was an ideal solution and critical for the success of this install. The interface is designed with the user in mind allowing for clear and easy navigation of content. Fuse provided potential residents with an easy and exciting way to digest information on their own or with a Shea representative.

Fuse’s robust features, allowed Shea to showcase all their desired content including images, videos, pricing details, lot maps and a password protected guided tour. The simple back-end gave Shea the power to make changes on the fly without knowledge of coding or in-depth technical expertise.

The application was deployed on custom built 46″ interactive touch tables that promoted a collaborative environment. The tables allowed Shea representatives to sit down with prospective residents and walk through the interactive content. As part of the selling process, Fuse was also equipped with a password protected portal that a representative could access to show information on the property’s lot map and pricing.

Horizon’s 46″ Custom touch tables with Fuse Interactive Software, gave Shea the exact interactive solution they were looking for. The experience gave potential guests and employees the interactive content needed to showcase the Triolgy at the Vineyards community in precise way that envisioned it. The password protected portal gave employees the ability to use the touch surface as a guided sales tour allowing some of the interactive content only accessible by a Shea representative. This allowed the experience to enhance the one-on-one sales process in a dynamic way.
